Firewall ports and encryption level

Where do I get the information on which firewall ports are required to be open for Replistor between source and target servers and also is data encrypted while travelling? If yes, what is the level of encryption supported?

Hi,

What is information that you want it?

Is it a port of RepliStor?

You can set the encryption level at client option.

Connection --- challenge-response algorithm

Integrity --- 16-byte signature

Encrypted --- Encrypted

RepliStor uses ports 7144 and 7145. Both TCP and UDP should be open for RepliStor to communicate and discover other RepliStor servers. Encryption is done using the Windows encryption via OS API calls. Logon credentials between RepliStor consoles can be changed from the default Windows NTLM validation to Kerberos via the GUI.

Regarding the ports, RepliStor will open and send hand shaking on the above ports, however the response may be on any port that the OS uses for the response. So, you may see outgoing communication being sent only on the above ports but a reply may show up on other ports. That is governed by the OS, not RepliStor.

The ports used can be changed via the RepliStor GUI. The above ports are the default settings.
