Replication from HDS to EMC

Just wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with HDS to EMC async replication. Here's my problem.

I have a datacenter scheduled to close next year and I have a VSP and a USPV at that location. Those arrays are not going to be moved but many of the servers are going to be moved and I need to replicate their storage to the new datacenter.

My initial thought was to use HDS async HUR to replicate to a VSP in the destination datacenter but I can't leave the replicated storage on HDS. Once I have it replicated to the new datacenter using HUR, I'd then have to use Open Replicator or some other method to move the storage to the VMAX array which will be it's actual destination.

Are there alternatives, possibly some way to move the data directly from a remote HDS array to the VMAX in the new datacenter?
