ESRS Policy Manager - flash

Morning all,

I am having some issues with users being able to access ESRS Policy Manager (6.6).

We are currently testing at the moment by launching the web browser from the server on which Policy Manager is install as the server is within a secured environment.

I am able to log onto the server and open the URL  http://localhost:8090/aps/index  and I get prompted with the login screen as expected.  however, my colleagues log onto the same server, open the same URL and are prompted with a series of errors and no log on prompt.

When I initially set up Policy Manager, I had to install Flash 10 onto the server to get the GUI to work. I've tried installing it again with one of my colleagues, unfortunately the login screen still doesnt load for her (but still loads for me when i log in and open it).

Anyone else experienced similar issues?

This is addressed by Knowledgebase article ESRS Policy Manager 6.6 Error 2032 Article Number:000188143 ( attached ) on support.emc.com

The issue is caused by the use of dynamic libraries for flash when the program was complied. The KB article includes the files that need to be added to the Policy Manager

That was situation what I faced.

I had solve the problem as below

Reinstall Policy Manager(EMCPolicyManager-145)

and then, Open the URL : http://localhost:8090/actions/index,  not http://localhost:8090/aps/index

Note the attached files

Thanks for the replies. I have installed the flash files into the Flexgui folder and it works and as stated. on the first attempt it takes approximately 7-8minutes to load the screen and thereafter it loads almost immediately (I'm assuming it caches something in the user profile).

The issue with that is we are running our GUI through a Citrix web browser launcher. The Citrix servers are rebooted on a weekly basis which clears down the profiles, so our users will need to wait 8 minutes on the initial page load at least once a week.

This is not an ideal situation. Is there not some way that the application can look to the Flexgui folder first before going out to Adobe to look for files?

Thanks

Mark

Please see the response to your other post - it has considerable detail on the issue. the short answer is no not at this time - the Vendor of the application compiled the code w/ Dynamic Libraries and as such it needs to go thru the attempt to contact adobe until the it times out and will then retrive the libs locally and cache them in the users profile
