Integration of SMARTS with SPLUNK
I want to send user name and password of smarts to splunk. I have written a script which invoke a client tool called as splunk. I want to do authentication of users with LDAP as a interface between SMARTS and SPLUNK. i need to send user name and password of smarts through that script. Thanks in advance and please give your opinion.

I think you don't have access to Smarts password ... in a ClientTool, you can have access to the username, but not the password.

Thanks fred. But then how the integration is possible? I need to use that LDAP authentication which is a present in SPLUNK. My task is that whenever a user log in smarts, with same userame and password he should be able to login in SPLUNK and should monitor the syslogs.
The tool is invoking from smarts just we need is user authentication.

Depending on your needs, you could build a small client tool that directly queries Splunk's API and displays the information on your user's screens. At least, this is what I'm contemplating doing when I get some more free time.
