Question related to IONIX snmp cpntext support

Hello Experts,

I have a question for you regarding IONIX SNMP support.

My customer is using NMS,  (EMC IONIX SMARTS  version 9.1.1.0) to poll Cisco routers in their network.  We recently faced a limitation on IONIX regarding SNMP context support.

Does IONIX support SNMP contexts?  Our requirement is to poll multiple OSPF process configured on Cisco routers.  If we use other clients, it works.  Here given below is a link from Cisco, for this feature.

Hello Sudeep,

The EMC Smarts software does support the SNMP V3 protocol.  The catch is when configuring the SNMP v3 settings on a device you have to make sure every field from user to context is properly populated or the Smarts will fail to authenticate and attempt to use SNMP V2 or V1.

I hope this answers your question.
Thank you very much for your time.
Cheers,
Sean
