Synching Topology between IP/APMs

Hi,

We are planing to build resiliency in our SMARTS instance.
As part of it, we need to sync up the topology between the IP/APMs.
Please note that we are not discovering the devices but modeling the devices from Inventory feeds.

If any of the APM is down, we need to sync up the topology once it is back.
I thought about copying the rps file manually. Though it is working, I don't know whether it is the right/feasibile approach considering volumes.

Is there any way by which we can sync up the topology across the IP/APM domains?

With Warm Regards,
Gopal

Gopal,

This is slightly off the beaten path, but is a typical problem spot in any failover deployment.  The currently accepted approach is to ftp/scp the RPS file to the backup, then stop and restart the backup server.

There are some experiments taking place with using the DXA to sync between the AM domains.  I would be happy to provide you the conf file I used to drive the transfer, but there is going to be a *lot* of data to transfer between the servers here.  The benefit is that you don't need to shut down the server, but it will take longer for the whole process than restarting.
