windows server snmpv3 EMC SMARTS

hey,

i am new to EMC SMARTS product family, and while still getting familiar with it i would like some clarification on possible ways of monitoring windows servers in our environment (connectors). Security is very important bit in our environment therefore we are allowed to use either snmpv3 and WMI (currently using WMI only) . Does EMC SMARTS comes with some proprietary connector for windows servers or does it utilize protocols like snmp and WMI. If it's snmpv3, do you recommend any for windows servers or customer has to figure it out on its own?

thanks in advance

Hello,

I am with EMC Support and although you have posted this question 5 months ago, I wanted to follow up and see if you are still looking for some help regarding this question or anything else Smarts related?

In short, I can tell you that we do support SNMPv3 and you would have to provide you own MIB (if that is what you are asking).

Please let me know if this answers your question or not,

Regards,
