Extract HDR-File from BIOS-Update

I'm trying to extract the hdr-file from some bios-updates. On some Updates it is working with -writehdrfile but on some Updates the exe is crashing not creating a file. (for e.g. Latitude E5420, A14). (also tried -writeoemfile)

I've tried different Systems (WinXP to Win 10, x86 and x64).

Any workaround how to extract the hdr-file?
