Problem restoring shortcuts after upgrading to Outlook2010

We recently upgraded the whole company to outlook 2010 and in conjunction with this installed 6.6.2 but now we are seeing increasing numbers of people unable to resolve shortcuts.

Specifically shortcuts which were migrated from emailXtender to Sourceone 6.6 and then upgraded.  We didn't see any problems before the office upgrade.  I've opened a support call but wondered if anyone else has seen this.

Specifically some errors seem to be coming up and are baffling me.

Compete uninstalls of the addin and upgrading to offline access 6.7 have failed to fix it as have reinstalls of office.

Any ideas?

Hi Nick,

The log entries are unfortunately not much helpful. If shortcut emails in not in the offline cache then request goes to the server for resolution. It would be intresting to see what server entries are suggesting. I know of one scenario where some random emails after they are upgrade from EX shortcuts to SourceOne shortcuts they fail to resolve due to a property not being tagged to the messages as it should.

Can you please do the following test:

1. Disable Offline Access on a client machines and restart outlook

2. Move mouse over the URLs available in the message body to view the message or restore message to mailbox.

3. See if these links work, if you get error about authorization then move on to the next step.

4. Move your mouse over the same URLs and see what HTTP link it is poining to, in that link there is a messageID there if shortcut is upgraded from EX to SourceOne messageID should have many zero's in it (0). if you do not need see the padded zero's I would suggest you to open support ticket

Thanks,

Rajan

There is no shortcut in the message body as they were migrated and upgraded messages from emailXtender, we were told by the EMC migration engineers the only way to get the shortcut in the body was to restore all the messages and re-shortcut them.  If this advice was wrong I would be very interested to hear about it.

However my resultion is working fine and when I attach the problem accounts to my own default profile I can resolve the messages with no problem.
