Recover the Journal archive back to a mailbox
We need to perform some major changes to our Exchange environment and want to temporarily copy/move the entire Journaling mailbox out of EmailXtender (version 4.81.1043) back to an Exchange 2007 mailbox during the transition. What is the best and easiest approch to do this?

In EmailXtender, the only method take messages out of the Archive and put them back into a mail Environment is via the EmailXtender Search Plugin.
You would need to search from the mails you want to put back and either restore them directly to a mailbox or to PST(s).
Having said that, I would still recomend you contact EMC Support to discuss your plan, as there might be alternatives to restoring all the mails back to Exchange.

thank you very much for your reply – we will most likely engage with EMC Support on this, as I hoped to have a programmatic way of doing this.
