How to remove an array from a array view in storagescope SRM Views

Hi willybrown8243,

Since the StorageScope SRM Views are pre-generated views based on current objects in the StorageScope Repository, I'm afraid there isn't a way to manually add or remove individual arrays from the SRM Views > Arrays view through the StorageScope Console.

Instead, you'd need to delete the array in ControlCenter, which is the source for that StorageScope data, and re-run ETL (either manually, or by simply allowing it to run on its regular schedule the following day) to update the StorageScope Repository in kind. (Important Note: deleting an object in ControlCenter, while it will not affect the array or the environment in any way, will remove ControlCenter's ability to manage or monitor the array. If you depend upon ControlCenter for monitoring or managing the array in question, this may not be an option).

*If needed/appropriate, this can be done by stopping the related Storage Agent(s) which is/are primary for the array you wish to remove via the ControlCenter Console, and then deleting the array via the ControlCenter Console as well. This will remove the array from the ControlCenter inventory, and as a result, will mark the array as no longer a current object in the StorageScope Repository and clear the array from the SRM Views of the StorageScope Console as well.

For more information, you may find the EMC ControlCenter 6.1 Administrator's Guide (direct link here) helpful, as well as the ControlCenter Online Help, which is accessible by pressing the "F1" key when logged into the ControlCenter Console.

I hope that helps!

Regards,

-Chris
