Storagescope - Capacity reporting for clustered Nodes

Hello All,

Host Name File System Name File System(GB) Used File System(GB) Free File System(GB) Clustered
Node A Q:\ 0.48 0.01 0.47 No
Node A X:\ 499.99 332.29 167.7 No
Node A Y:\ 4 2.67 1.33 No
Node A Z:\ 374 309.62 64.38 No
Node B Q:\ 0.48 0.01 0.47 No
Node B X:\ 499.99 413.76 86.23 No
Node B Y:\ 4 2.67 1.33 No
Node B Z:\ 374 287.62 86.37 No

The Above is a report that I got for these 2 nodes ( Node A and B ) in a MSCS Active / Passive cluster. As you can see, the LUNs for Q:\, X:\, Y:\ , Z:\ are shared between the Nodes.

My Question is :

Why do I get different numbers for "Used and Free File Systems" for the Drives X:\ and Z:\ ( which are basically shared drives between the nodes )

Also in the last column "Clustered" should be "Yes"

Any ideas on what I should be doing to fix this..

Regards

Amit

The "Clustered" column  isn't actively being populated by the StorageScope application.   It was intended for future use initially when it was put in, which we never got to.    An alternative you could use, if you have a Volume Manager managing these hosts and if the volumegroups those filesystems are created on, use the same underlying storage device, are the columns IsVGShared and VGSharedSet.   If the above mentioned condition is met, then IsVGShared would have a value "Yes" with VGSharedSet having a common number which will allow grouping clustered objects.

Now, regarding those same filesystems having different usage values, the best approach would be to open a ticket with engineering with appropriate logs to investigate it further.
