symmetrix agent not available
Have a new control center install (going from windows 2003 to 2008 thus the new install). 6.1 UB9.
I cannot see the symmetrix agent in the console to install it.
I can see the symmetrix ID in the console so happy that GKs are communicating OK.
Any ideas?

Hi,
If you do not see the option to select/install the symmetrix agent when the Agent Selection window is selected for the host, ensure the required Symmetrix License Key is installed in the console.

Checklist overview
1. Install the Symmetrix License Key within the ControlCenter Console.
2. Install the appropriate version of Solutions Enabler as mentioned in Table 17 of EMC Ionix ControlCenter Version 6.1 Support Matrix. Note: Only 32-bit Solutions Enabler is support. 64- bit Solutions Enabler is NOT supported. Ensure that the same version of Solutions Enabler is installed on the Oracle Agent host and the Oracle Database host.
3. Install the Storage Agent for Symmetrix to the host from the ControlCenter Console.
4. Create Gate Keepers, the EMC Ionix ControlCenter 6.1 Performance and Scalability Guidelines for total number of Gatekeepers to deploy.
5. Local discovery process.
Please note ControlCenter 6.1 UB9 is end of support life for some time and the final release of ControlCenter 6.1 U14 will be end of support life 31st of August 2015.

thanks conor - was missing the licensing step.
I did talk to support about the ViPR software but we only have a small DMX-4 footprint.
