E20-598 Avamar Practice Exam
Confused on on of the ? on the practice exam E20-598. They mention a 1x5+1 Avamar Grid and ask you the maximnum # of connections.
I thought that s/b 27 connections per Data Node. so 27X5 = 135 ... But the correct answer according to the test is 134 ?
Not understanding what I'm missing here. Is the test correct and everything I have read is wrong?
each node is capable of 28 connections so there are some connections remaining for restores.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I think I found the answer! During the normal backup window.
(v6.1) 27 jobs per data node (less one for the overall grid for restore) and a maximum of 480 for the grid
One restore for the entire grid
- so on a 1X16+1 answer is 431.
Please refer to Knowledge Base article esg117139 for detailed explanation.

That is correct. 27 connections per node, but 1 connection is always reserved overall. (27 x 5) - 1 = 134
