Unable to register Support Assist Enterprise

Hello,

I am not able to finish the registration for a SupportAssist Enterprise installation.

It seems I am not able to connect to the sites mention on page 31 of the installation manual:

https://apidp.dell.com
https://api.dell.com/
https://is.us.dell.com/*
https://downloads.dell.com/*
https://sa-is.us.dell.com/*

Pings do not reply yet they resolve the DNS IP address.

I do have the system connecting to the web and other resources.

What do I need to do in order to finish the registration?

SupportAssist Enterprise Version: 2.0.10.13 Registration ID: Policy File: 2.0.11 Device Configuration: 2.0.11

Hi YadejaentrarCTM,

please ensure that those pages are not blocked by your firewall. In most cases, this is the reason why it does not complete.

Cheers
Stefan

Hi,

SUpportAssist is not able to reach/connect to the device you're trying to add.

Are both in the same network?
Can you ping the IP address?
How do you add the system by IP or by hostname? If you use the hostname, is the DNS working properly?

Try with the IP address solely if you use the hostname right now.

Try these steps and you should get it added.

If not what system [Device name] do you try to add?

Cheers
Stefan

I have allowed those sites as well as TCP ports 443 and 8443 yet I get no ping from Windows command prompt.

These sites are down:

I try to go to those on Google Chrome browser and even Internet Explorer, and I get HTTP Error 400.

https://downloads.dell.com/ is the only one that is on and replies to my pings
