Dell SupportAssist version 3.11.4.29

Hi I'm facing problems with the recent Dell Support assist version 3.11.4.29 from 3.10.4.18 n Windows 10 OS 21H2 update 1706
After a few days some users have problems with shutting down or restarting the operating system which has become terribly slow and sometimes they have to force shutdown.
Looking at the system event viewer, the event ID below: 7011 catches my attention,
Timeout (60000 milliseconds) while waiting for the transaction response from the DDVDataCollector service.
Uninstalling Dell Support Assist and Dell SupportAssist Operating System Recovery Plug-in for Dell Update restores the acceptable operating system shutdown time.
Now I have not reinstalled the Dell Support Client probably something went wrong during the update or is there some known problem with this version?

I was trying to read over your interaction on this case, currently from what I can tell when you uninstall SupportAssist it will allow the computer to shutdown normally, but when you have reinstalled it, the slow shutdown returns? Is that correct?

If so, can you let me know if there are any optional updates for .Net framework?

Lastly, on this system, do you only have one account?

Hi byte71:

Do you have a Home or Pro edition of Windows 10, and when you say "Windows 10 OS 21H2 update 1706", does that mean that your current version and build shown at Settings | System | About | Windows Specification is version 21H2 and your OS build is 19044.1706 (KB5013942, released 10-May-2022)? If that is correct do you know of any reason why Windows Update hasn't installed a cumulative update for your Win 10 OS since the May 2022 Patch Tuesday updates were released on 13-May-2022?

If you haven't already done so I'd suggest that you disable the Fast Startup power option (also known as hybrid boot-up / hybrid shutdown) as instructed in Option 1 of Brink's TenForums tutorial How to Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10 and then re-boot your computer to see if this solves your slow startup/shutdown problem. This power option is enabled by default but Fast Startup can interfere with the loading of services and drivers of third-party software at boot-up and cause unexpected problems, and Microsoft has acknowledged that Fast Startup can even interfere with Windows Update - see the MS support article Updates May Not Be Installed With Fast Startup in Windows 10.

Warning: If you have Windows updates pending installation after Fast Startup is disabled your first re-boot may be slow - be patient and don't restart your computer down while the installation(s) are trying to run to completion.
