Dell support assist wants to update Bios to 1.0.15
New XPS 8920 arrived last week. Current Bios 1.0.12. So far all is good. Support Assist notifying me to update Bios to 1.0.15. Anyone have problems after this update?
Thanks

You could read this thread: https://www.dell.com/community/XPS-Desktops/XPS-8920-BIOS-1-0-14-Front-I-O-cable-failure-message/td-p/5916858
The thread is mainly about the problem with version 1.0.14 but in the end version 1.0.15 seemed to fix the problems for everyone.

Updated Bios to 1.0.15 on my XPS 8920. Support Assist says install was successful and to reboot. I did a restart but keep getting the same message to install Bios update. Do I need to power down completely and then restart?

Do you have the latest version of the Support Assistant? I saw a similar problem on another model and updating to the latest version fixed that problem.

I checked and do have the most recent version. Support Assist was trying to install but the Bios needs manual installation. I did a system recheck online at the link you supplied, saved the download to the desktop, held my breath while it installed and it worked. You pointed me in the right direction. Thank you very much!

I had the same issue with a BIOS update from a SupportAssist nag. I successfully completed the manual BIOS update from the support.dell.com web site but I'm still getting the nag from the SupportAssist. Has anyone figured out how to remove the BIOS update nag from SupportAssist?
Thanks...Steve
