Inspirion 3581 Support OS Recovery

Hi

I had to change my hard drive and downloaded the SupportAssist OS Recovery but when I do a system restore it does not give me an option for USB just Cloud. So when choosing cloud I connect with WiFi and start it gets to 1% and then the WiFi icon goes away and it says This process is not supported on your system.

I wouldn't bother with Support OS Recovery.

Much easier to clone old hard drive to new hard drive using cloning software and USB-to-SATA adapter cable.

Are you saying that the Dell installed hard drive failed? Or that you simply removed our hard drive and installed a bigger retail hard drive? Please read through the SupportAssist OS Recovery User’s Guide to see if a step was missed.
