Acessing R2 devices while in session

I have a SRDF/A setup and normally create the clones on R2 and present it for verification.

One of the customer wants to access R2 devices.By default R2 are WD state and Read-only.

1.Can i present these R2 LUNS host and would they be able to mount the volumes?

2.What would happen to the SRDF/A session.Do they need to unmount the disk group, to see the latest updates? or Would they be able to see the updates automatically when the files created on R1?

3.Does it cause any alerts or error messages?

Let me know, if you have implemented something similar. BTW it's a solaris host using Veritas.

i am sure Solaras will allow you to mount file system read only but it's not a good idea. The system will cache some of the file system metadata and you will not see changes on R1 reflect on R2 unless you unmount and re-mount the file system.  What's the purpose of accessing read only R2 ?

They were trying to see if they can save some cost by not doing the clones.

use snapshots of R2 ( i think it's supported on VMAX code 75).  What is the purpose of mounting DR data ? DR exercise ?
