Anyone know what STP collection is on the Service Processor?

Specifically, what it stands for?

STP stands for Symmetrix Trends of Performance. This utility is used by EMC personnel to collect performance data to assist with performance related issues.

STP may also be used with ECC Performances Viewer (formerly known as WLA). Via STP you may see metrics that usually ECC agents won't collect.

Since 6.4 there is a brand new symcli daemon that collects STP data on your hosts. It's called storstpd (silly but meaningfull name) :D
