DMX4 Host IOPS in SPA
How can I measue HOST IOPS to a DMX4 from Symmetrix Performance Analyzer as it does not have auto-provisioning groups like a VMAX array?

How can I measue HOST IOPS to a DMX4 from Symmetrix Performance Analyzer as it does not have auto-provisioning groups like a VMAX array?

put the devices in a device group or look for individual devices and sum it up.

Thats what we are doing but only have the Host addressable devices in the device group, whereas Ionix Performance manager looks at the meta devices as a whole including all members. We are getting different figures from the two tools. We can't add the meta members to the devicegroup but from a host perspective all IO will got through the metahead as as the members are not host adressable.

i think in that case you need to monitor the iops for individual meta head and its members..

But you can't add meta members to a device group to monitor in SPA, We could probably generate a query to run this.
