How can i determine the max size of HVE?

Hello!

Could you tell me how can i determine the max size of HVE (hyper volume extension)?

AFAIK the bigger HVE you can "slice" out of a DMX3 is 65520 cyls (about 64Gb).

If you are trying to create new symdevs and want to identify the bigger hypervolume you can create out of your freespace, you need to know

1) the protection you want to apply
2) the output of symdisk -sid xxx -v -gaps list

I guess this issue have already been discussed elsewhere .. Hope someone can easily find the old thread on this topic :D
