I am trying to find primus article , EMC Primus solution emc152568
While we are trying to do emc device drivers upgrade on the AIX hosts -6.1 , we got the following error,
EMC Symmetrix FCP MPIO Software Support for Symmetrix devices *
* has been found installed but it is necessary to update the device *
* unique_id attribute to support device addressing above 0xfff before *
* installing this version. *
* Please refer to EMC Primus solution emc152568 before proceeding. *

Failure occurred during pre_rm.
Failure occurred during rminstal.

I remember there is maintenance in EMC online support that might cause you unable to access KB. Could you try again with following link. I think this article should not be any restriction for online support register users. Hope it can help.
