SRDF Encryption

Is SRDF data transfer operation between 2 DMX3's encrypted?

i don't think it's encrypted natively, you can probably encrypt with some Cisco fcip solutions ..but there goes your SRDF compression.

SRDF data transmission is proprietary but it is not encrypted.

Hmm ..i think i have to retract my statement. I remember seeing announcement about a month ago that the new GigE Channel Director offer hardware-assisted IPv6 & IPsec encryption. IPsec feature is separately license and can be enabled on per GigE interface.

Dynomax, looks like you are correct. There is a Customer Presentation: EMC Innovation for Symmetrix DMX Series on PowerLink that mentions IPv4/IPv6 and optional IPsec encryption.

Dynamo Kiev is a well known soccer team .. at least here in Italy since they gave a lot of PITA to some italian teams ;-)

Between vacuum cleaning my house and washing the floor, I can't resist at looking the forums ;-)

However always beware of the Russian Bear ;-)

Soccer ? As in football ? Neh, don't like to watch 22 grown up men running behind some ball and supporters kicking and fighting the lights out of each others eyes.....

Why ? I like civilized sports. In fact, the reason I absolutely hate football is that it's become a bit too well supported sport, it's become too massive, too violent, way too much community money goes into in (police to contain the crowd, traffic problems)... Of course the crowd is mostly responsible for that, but there's no game without any incidents in the news paper the day after. It's not a pure sport anymore: it's business, war, violence, a poor excuse to beat up your neighbor.
I like Formula 1, volleyball, skating, Olypic Games in general, Athletics (I'm training for the marathon myself, which is still al looooooooooong way to go). The one thing I don't like is team sports (with 1 exception: volleyball: I must say I like doing it myself, but to watch it... not too long, unless it's some finale or something).
