Setting the FA port flags for a solaris host
Hi
does any one know how to set the FA port flags for a solaris host, but,
How do I change the FA director's flags on one port without affecting the other port? due to I have only one port available to connect a Solaris Server.
Do i need to turn off entire processor? or how can i do that?
Let me tell you that i don't want to do that, by using symmask command.
Thanks in advance.

When I say I have only one port available It means, that I im going to use that port for Solaris
I tried with
set port 08b:1 SCSI_3=enable;
set port 09b:1 SCSI_3=enable;
But I got this output:
You are unable to do that due to the port is online?
Do i need to turn off the entire processor?
How do I change the FA director's flags on one port without affecting the other port?
Best regards

you can set flags like this, :
set port 08b:1 SCSI_3=enable;
set port 09b:1 SCSI_3=enable;
what do you mean you only have one port available ?

Putting a whole port offline will impact all hosts using soon-to-be-offline port. Be very VERY *V*E*R*Y* carefull in putting offline the RIGHT port
I think it's better to solve the issue using symmask set_hba flags ... Easier, cleaner, safer .. What else can I add ??
