Solutions Enabler: How to limit command execution access.
We have 2 servers from where we manage 2 VMAXe arrays, Everyone in the storage team has access to these servers. There is always a risk that someone might issue a wrong symcli command and cause problems so we want to setup a security method by which only few people can issue certain commands.
Is there any way by which I can stop everyone from issuing certain commands in SE, Only seniors should be able to issue those commands.

Symauth limits rights on a per-user basis.
Symacl (access controls) limits rights on a per-host basis.
You can read more about them in the Solutions Enabler Array Controls guide.

Thanks, I just downloaded the array control guide. Looks like symauth is what i need, Still not sure how authentication works.
Do users need to enter a used id and password before issuing commands or how it works?
