Vault drives are used to destage the data in cache  in case of a powerfailure.SFS is where your statistical data and audit logs saved and it is created during the initial install.

Vault drives and SFS are unrelated.

Vault drives are a logical piece of each of the first 5 physical disks in each direct connect bay DAE; its not an entire physical drive.  When an array is being powered off it vaults what is in cache to the vault disks (luns really).  There is two independent copies of the cache data and a CRC table so when they array comes up the data is re-read into cache and validated.

You cannot change the vault disks or affect them in any way with CLI commands that I know of, nor should you want to.
