XCOPY is a vmware primitive part of the VAAI commandset, it is an offload command for copy where the copy is sent to the storage array rather than relying on the host resources to do it. Hi Paul,
Thanks for reply. Somewhere found the basic idea about VAAIO(vStorage APIs for Array Integration).
So as if now my understanding through this we are separating the host server and storage array based on their use.
Therefore reducing the load on the host from performing activities such as cloning which can be very well performed at storage site.
