Hi koppuru,
Your questions are very generic. I strongly suggest to download the documentation set for Solutions Enabler 7.5 from support.emc.com and read the EMC Solutions Enabler Symmetrix SRDF Family CLI pdf where you will find all the information you need regarding monitor and troubleshoot SRDF/STAR environment.

Troubleshooting a link failure in star can be painful process sometimes. It is not as simple as recovering in SRDF/A or S.
. One advise from my exp is never try SRDF operation on star groups or star devices unless recommended by EMC Support.
