vmax decomm'd from the environment, how to clean up to stop showing this vmax info on SYMCLI
Hello,
We have a vmax decommisioned from our environment, as it was part of the environment, the symcli/SE was showing information about this VMAX, Now, I want to cleanup the entry for this particular vmax, I don't want to have this vmax listed whenever I run symcfg discover. Is it like just construct new symapi database ?, or any steps to accomplish this.
Thanks in Advance,

symcfg remove would delete the decommissioned array, if all fails then delete the toplogy.xml file and ldb files and run symcfg discover.

make sure there are no device groups you need to keep because they will go bye bye if you replace your symapi_db with another copy.

another option or work around i have seen is using symavoid file which helps to skips those arrays listed in the file.

HI,
Even after adding the symm to symavoid, symcfg remove command needs to be run to delete it from the db.
