Cannot import DTK 4.x into Configuration Manager 2012

I am having an issue when attempting to import the DTK 4.x into Configuration Manager 2012 SP1.  I have DSDP 2.0 installed on the system and have not installed any DTK package yet.  After selecting the DTK self-extractable Zip file and clicking Next, I receive the following error message:

The Windows PE drivers in the DTK are not compatible with the WAIK installed on the system.

We do not have the WAIK installed on this, as ConfigMgr SP1 uses the Assessment and Deployment Kit.

We do have the Dell Client Integration Pack for Microsoft ConfigManager 2012 installed on the system as well.

Is there a new DTK or DSDP coming for SP1, or is there another workaround?

Is there a timeline for the next release of DSDP?

Hello Scott - As a few things are under NDA, we cannot put it out on public forums. I request that you get in touch with your account/sales rep from Dell. They can provide you with the "Dell OpenManage Integration for Microsoft System Center" timelines/features and updates.

Thanks for the query and do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything else that we can help with for DSDP.

Hi there,

Here's a related question. DSDP 2.0 does declare support for CM2012. Are you saying DTK portion of it won't support it at all, or are you saying CM2012(SP1) would need to run on WS2008R2SP1 in order to get complete DSDP/DTK coverage from Dell? Can you clarify this point?

We have a need to utilize DTK with CM2012 and I'm wondering if the deal breaker here is AIK .vs. ADK and whether that can be address by using the older OS.

Thanks,

Baris.

Yes, DSDP 2.0 support CM 2012 but it will not work with CM 2012 SP1 as CM 2012 SP1 works with ADK in place of WAIK, You can use DSDP 2.0 with CM 2012 or older version.
