DELL repository manager signature verification error
Forum Members -
I am getting an error with Dell Repository Manager 1.4.104 when trying to create my first repository. I choose Create -> New, give the repository a name, and then choose Dell Online Repository (ftp.dell.com) as my source repository. When I click next I get the following error: "Error loading source repository. Digital signature verification error for 'ftp://ftp.dell.com/catalog/Catalog.cab'" Any ideas as to what may be causing this error? I can access the FTP site from the computer that I am running the repository manager on, so I am pretty sure that it is not a problem with the network.
Thanks,
James

I must apologize for the issues you are having. Not making excuses, but we have had the "perfect storm" internally with some items and its been interesting to say the least. I promise, we are working on it literally around the clock to get this resolved. i was hoping I could get the steps that you are following to make this fail, from start to finish so I can replicate the issue here. As I type this, I am importing the entire 9Gig catalog to see where the issues may still be appearing.
Could I get you to do this, which will clear your CRL cache of certificates? You will need to close all applications before running the command. from a command prompt run as administrator: certutil -urlcache * delete
Then try the import/export again. I did try importing that single file as part of a bundle, it imported correctly and exported to SUU directory correctly. I did this on my system and on a newly installed system and it worked flawlessly.

I will enter a posting here once I have confirmed the fix has been implemented correctly :)

Hi James, we are aware of the issue, and its not something you are doing wrong. We have folks working the issue, but no eta on a fix at this time.

Thanks for the quick update! What is the best way for me to know when the issue has been resolved? Is there something better than just trying to create a new repository every day?

Sorry, no update as of yet. No ETA at this time, but we are focused on this as a very high priority.

Still broken as of now.
I found a workaround link, but can't figure out how to skip past the 9Gb download it wants to do.

All, its still broken, and to be honest, I dont see a solution anytime this week. I cant go into details, but the fix will not be easy and will affect many files. This has the focus of a great many people in the company and is priority one.

Good news, the catalog can be imported again normally!

Is there any way to disable the key checks in the Repository Manager? Or can you give us an updated public key we can use?
