DPACK failed to connect with the VMware VCenter Server

Not sure if I'm posting this in the correct place or not, but here goes... I've got a client with 2 Dell PowerEdge servers running as VMware hosts. I'm trying to run Dell Performance Analysis Collection Kit 1.5.3.331982 (DPACK) but it will not connect to their VCenter server. It fails with error:

Failed to connect with the VMWare VCenter Server 'https://127.0.0.1/sdk/vimService'.

I've tried using IP, DNS name, FQDN, localhost, and 127.0.0.1 and all fail with same error. I know VCenter is working, but I'm not very familiar with DPACK (first time trying to use it). We've got other clients with VCenter and DPACK connects just fine to that. I read that a certain MS update changed the way SSL works, but I have already uninstalled that KB and I'm still getting the error.

Not sure if this is a vmware issue, or a Windows issue. Just posting anywhere where the right person might see it. Any thoughts?

Thanks, now back to scouring Google for possible solutions

Chris,

Is this the download you are using? www.dell.com/.../DriverDetails

There is another that is Linux based, but has issues on Vmware.

There is also email support at dpack_support@dell.com if you need it.

Let me know if this helps.

Just wanted to follow-up in case anyone else had a similar issue and stumbles across this. dpack_support@dell.com had me try http instead of https, and that worked! Can't believe I didn't think about that.
