Dell 2162DS unable to use KVM console due to Java

I have a 2162DS and with a recent Java upgrade on our workstations we are no longer able to access the console for devices connected to the KVM unit due to a Java security error.

We have added the URL of the 2162DS into the Java exception list and cleared all the java cache and browser cache and still no go.

The firmware of the 2162DS is at:

Application 1.16.0.20726
Boot 2.1.20060

Any ideas how to get console working again?

Do you get this when running from a browser? If so, which browser and version?

You may need to back your Java version down. There may also be a software update for the KVM (but not likely).

I updated the 2162DS to 1.16.0 to 1.20.22 as recommended by support. 1.20.22 firmware was at a mystery link not findable through the dell drivers site.

Same issue and I noted that even on latest firmware the key length is still 1024 for the cert and that may be the point causing issues with Java.

Our Dell tech rep hinted that there "may" be a new version of firmware in the works to address this as others are experiencing similar issue.
