Dell OMSA 7.4 HTTPS Listener not getting configured during install on Windows Server 2012R2 Update 1

This has been an issue with OMSA for a few versions now, the pre req checker detects that the HTTPS Listener is not configured for WinRM, click here to configure it. Clicking on the link does nothing and the error remains when you rescan dependencies. In Server 2008 you can get around this by manually installing a computer certificate on the server but this does not seem to work in 2012R2

Has anyone been able to get this working, I believe this is causing issues with OMSA sending server details through to OpenManage Essentials.

Servers are PowerEdge R620's

Cheers

gbstjem,

A piece of information that might narrow down the issue. Actuall OMSA 7.4 supports with WIN 2012 R2. But i guess not with WIN 2012 R2 U1. Check if this works without U1. Just to check.

Thanks

Vivek

I appreciate this is a very old post now... but what happened with OMSA 7.4 on Server 2012 R2 U1? I'm having the same issue and have already tried a reinstall of 7.4 (no change) and then the 7.4.0.2 patch again (no change).

This is in a live environment, and I'm reluctant to uninstall U1.

This is on an old 2950 III running Hyper-V Server 2012 R2. OMSA used to work, and at some point in the last year it's stopped working, possibly due to 2012 R2 Update 1 being applied.

Any suggestions anyone?
