Dell T330 Bios and iDrac upgrade path

You can get latest BIOS and iDRAC Firmware from below link. If you scroll down on below links, you can find a section called "Version" where you can find old FW for respective component. It is not recommended to upgrade from a very old FW to latest firmware. You can perform incremental update by skipping one or two version in between.

The links that you sent only provide firmware going back to 2017, can I successfully upgrade/update our current firmware (version 1.1.4) to the firmware from 2017 (version 2.3.2 ) ?

looks like the oldest available is the 3-year-old one, yes.

 

You might try to update the system in one run using our bootable ISO.

But first, you should update the iDRAC to the latest, manually, step-by-step.

2.3.2 is the oldest version available so that is the first option available to try incremental firmware update. Ideally we should not be seeing any issues while updating it as long as there is no other issues on the server. 

Below will be the sequence I would recommend here.

BIOS 2.3.2

iDRAC 2.40.40.40

iDRAC 2.50.50.50

BIOS 2.5.0

iDRAC 2.60.60.60

BIOS 2.7.1

iDRAC 2.70.70.70

BIOS 2.9.0

iDRAC 2.75.75.75

BIOS 2.10.1

Upgrade/update went smoothly. Server is now current and working.

I upgraded Idrac from 2.22 to 2.40 then to 2.52 and finally 2.63

Bios I upgraded from 2.3.2 to 25.0 to 2.71 and then to 2.9.0
