How to Take Logs when the Dell PowerEdge Server is Switched off.

Dear All,

I'm new to this forum. I have a question if a Dell Server is Switched off and it is not reachable over the Network is there any means of taking out the logs?

Nanda27,

Even though the server is powered down, you should be able to reach it via the iDrac (Integrated Dell Remote Access Card) it will remain connected as long as there is power connected to the server. You can find more on the iDrac here. You would configure the iDrac with an IP address, then you can connect to it via web browser. Once there then you can go SYSTEM-LOGS and then export the hardware log, depending on the server.

Let me know if this helps.
