IPMI on PowerEdge 2550

Hallo,

we have some old PowerEdge 2550 Servers with CentOS 5 and installed.

Most of our DELL-Machines are monitored through Nagios and IPMI or OpenManagementPlatform. Now under RHEL5 OpenManage 4.5 doesn't work on it. And the newer OpenManage 5.5 doesn't support PE 2550 Servers.

Searching google and co. results in IPMI seams not work on PE 2550? Is this right?

Is there any other idea/solution for monitoring Hardware and States?
