Is there a way to ssh to the DRAC without password?

Hi,

We have Dell Poweredge R710 and have installed redhat linux.

We are configuring a redhat GFS2 cluster of 3 nodes (all 3 nodes are Dell R710's that run redhat linux).

As part of the clustering configuration we need to fence nodes if they have a problem; and the fencing mechanism is to access the problem node through DRAC and restart them.

We can ssh to the DRAC IP using username / password; but want to ssh into DRAC without password.  Between linux servers we do this by means of generating ssh key pair and distributing the public key to the server to which we want to ssh without password.

Please suggest / point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Hello,

A few questions to understand your need:

Are you looking for "ssh key pair" solution only or open to other methods?

Are you open to using a script that may contain password?

Can you have all your iDRACs to use a common username/password?
