OpenManagement (OMSA) 7.3 error on Poweredge server.

Hi,

I upgraded OpenManagement Software on a Poweredge R610 (running Windows Server 2008 R2) to version 7.3.

The previous version was 6.5.

After that I installed the patch 7.3.01.

But now the Management website on port 1311 won't open.

Any suggestions?

Hello rene2013

Have you restarted the OMSA services? There should be four services running that start with DSM. If restarting the services does not resolve the issue then I would suggest restarting the server.

Sometimes when updating OMSA the services do not shut down properly, and when they don't shut down properly they are not able to be updated properly. If the issues persists after completing the steps above then shut down the services manually, uninstall OMSA, install OMSA, shut down the services, and then patch to 7.3.01. If the services do not start up automatically after the patch then start them up and test.

Thanks

Thanks,

I now saw that the service DSM SA Connection Service is not started.

After restarting the other 3 services I see this event 2131 in the eventlog:

The current firmware version  12.10.1-0001 is older than the required firmware version 12.10.5-0001 for a controller of model 0x1F17:  Controller 0 (PERC H700 Integrated).

So I think that the firmware also needs to be upgraded to let Omsa work.

I found it:

The Drac firmware also needs to be upgraded to 1.65.

This was not mentioned in the readiness checker of OMSA.
