R610 / iDRAC6 Enterprise - no network communication
Hi,
I have a new R610 in my lab and am trying to get the iDRAC6 Ent configured correctly. I have it set up as a dedicated port (also tried shared with F/O no difference) connected into my core switch. The IP address of the DRAC is 192.168.1.80, which i cannot ping from system or outside over the network. I do however have a link light on both switch and DRAC NIC.
Per LCC/USC update last night, all versions of FW/BIOS are up to date, versions below.

i also tried the trick mentioned in this string (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/servers/f/946/p/19318343/19642392.aspx#19642392), and mentioned here http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/smusc/smusc/1_1/en/UG/html/faq.htm but that didn't work or change anything either.
FYI, i also have OMSA 6.3 installed on the server as well if that helps / is needed

i've also already tried different cables and different switch ports, no change in behavior.
i'm on a flat network if that matters and my production traffic is on the same subnet / 192.168.1.x / 255.255.255.0.

try this, grab a laptop or desktop that has a gig nic and go directly from that nic with a cable to the drac. if using a gig nic on these systems, you wont need a crossover cable. you will probably have to hard set the nic IP on the system you use to ping the drac. if that doesnt work, try resetting the drac to defaults and set your laptop or desktop to the same subnet and similar ip, and test again. if still no response, I'd say the drac is bad.
