RED007 unable to verify Update Package signature

Hello,

I'm getting the error described in the link below, but none of the workarounds listed make any sense to me. I'm currently on LCC Firmware version 2.40.40.40 and trying to upgrade to the latest. Thanks in advance for any help.

Pwilson82,

What you can do is download and run the iDrac update from a Windows/Linux based system, upon completetion go to payload/firmimg.d7 and save that D7 file to USB. Reboot the server and then open the Lifecycle Controller, under the Update tab point to the USB with the .d7 file, that will allow it to update.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Chris,

Can you clarify these instructions a little more? What do you mean run them from a Windows or Linux machine? I've been going to the gui interface of the iDRAC. Do you have an article with step by step instructions?

Hi,

Basically, on a Windows system, download the firmware update, and run/extract the files. Copy the file into an USB. Then on the server, access to Lifecycle Controller to do the firmware update via Update tab.
