Recurring OMSA error

An OMSA component is generating the following alert with Event ID 1000 in the Application log on a number of our servers on a daily basis (once or twice a day around 2 am and/or 8 pm):

Event Description: Faulting application name: wmiprvse.exe, version: 6.2.9200.16384, time stamp: 0x5010ad15
Faulting module name: Xalan-C_1_10.dll, version: 1.10.0.0, time stamp: 0x50587adc
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0000000000004cc5
Faulting process id: 0x694
Faulting application start time: 0x01cf47ef8f2758b4
Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\oma\bin\Xalan-C_1_10.dll

We saw the errors with OMSA 7.3 and they continue with 7.4.  Are other customers seeing these errors and does someone with more Apache experience have an explanation for them?

I'm seeing it with servers running Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2, but not 2008 R2.  Does that match your findings?

Did you ever find a solution to this?

I also see this problem, with OMSA 7.2 on Win2012.

I've been working on this with Dell support.  The fix should make it in to OMSA 8.1.

Great, thanks!

Hello,

Did you ever receive a fix for this? I see there's a patch, 7.4.0.1 that fixes a number of WMI issues but it's not clear if this issue is fixed.

Thanks

As I noted in May, this fix isn't expected until OMSA 8.1.
