iDrac9: redfish api mis-information

Hi Dell Support,

On a recent upgrade to the latest Lifecycle/iDRAC9 version 3.18.18.18, the MemorySummary information which sits under "/redfish/v1/Systems/System.Embedded.1" appears to no longer display the correct total system memory. The memory used to say "768" but has now changed to "715.256064".

The previous Lifecycle/iDRAC version in use was 3.15.17.15 which displayed the correct information.

'MemorySummary' => {
               'Status' => {
                             'Health' => 'OK',
                             'HealthRollup' => 'OK',
                             'State' => 'Enabled'
                           },
               'TotalSystemMemoryGiB' => '715.256064',
               'MemoryMirroring' => 'System'
},

Could this be rectified?

Thanks.

What is reported in 3.18.18.18 Firmware is correct. The size reported here is in GiB not GB. As per redfish ComputerSystem Schema memory size need to be reported in Gib. 768 GB is equivalent to 715.256064 GiB.

Hello,

I have a similar issue now and don´t know how to handle that correctly.
From Gen12/13 i get some float numbers like 60. (i guess GiB)
Would made 64 GB.

From Gen14/15 i get 64 back.
Is it now 64 GiB or 64 old school GB ?
I have to translate it for deployment purposes to KiB.

Can you let me know the URI and attribute you are referring here

If it is related to "TotalSystemMemoryGiB"" attribute under "/redfish/v1/Systems/System.Embedded.1" URI then it is in Gib not GB. Also let me know model and iDRAC FW version of the server where you observed this.

@PilleKalle , There is a known issue on this with 4.10.10.10 FW and this will be addressed in next iDRAC FW release.
