omarolemap and group membership
Hi,
I'm using OMSA 9.1 and I can't seem to get group based authorization to work. The config bit that is not working looks like this:
+mygroup * Administrator
"mygroup" is an IPA group and I'm definitely a member of "mygroup", but I never get the Administrator role. I've searched through the forum and I see that omarolemap should have 640. I checked and it's 640. Not sure what else could be wrong. I've tried to create the "mygroup" locally as well, but even that doesn't help.
Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Hello,
Yes, it will let me make an individual user an admin. No, the host field is a '*' on all lines.
Thank you

Hi,
Will it let you make your individual user an admin? Also make sure it isn’t pointing to localhost https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/ar/en/arbsdt1/dell-openmanage-server-administrator-9.0.1/omsa_9.0.1_users_guide/best-practices-while-using-the-omarolemap-file?guid=guid-ea9cd407-9501-478a-877d-e2d2b97b83a1&lang=en-us
