iDRAC firmware Update Fails

Hello:

I have a Dell PE T410 server that I has iDRAC firmware version 1.80.00 (Build 17).  The system tag is .  I am trying the procedure that was supplied by Eddie on the following post:

http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/servers/f/177/t/19475476

I get to step 9 and it keeps failing.  Can you verify that this file is the correct one?

Thank you.

Hello

I would recommend installing the latest version instead of what you are attempting to install:

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=J7YYK

Make sure the that you run the self-extracting executable to extract out the .d6 file. Also, make sure that you let the system complete POST. If you are booted into a BIOS interface then the update will not likely work. The update utility uses the lifecycle controller and the lifecycle controller is not fully operational if you are in a BIOS interface.

If you are still having issues then provide more information about the original issue with the iDRAC/LCC and what is happening when the update is not successful.

Thanks
