Dell Streak 7 Charging Issue

I've seen a number of posts about charging issues with the Dell Streak 7. My device is also not charging. Has anyone determined if there is a particular solution to this issue? Is there a common flaw with the design of the device? The cable is properly connected to the device when I am attempting to charge it and does not appear to be damaged in any way.

I also had this problem.  I sent my device in for repair on November 20th. On December 7th I was told that my device was beyond economical repair so I would be receiving a new device.  It has now been 2 months and since Dell has stopped manufacturing this particalur unit They have no idea when I will get my replacement and they refuse to give me a refund.

Thanks for the information. I paid for the next business day damaged device swap. I called them this evening and before the consultant began to set up the delivery the line dropped. I will call them again in the morning. I certainly hope that Dell will take my issue seriously. I can't believe they are giving you a "Non" answer. Have you looked into escalating some how? I will be posting this to as many Android blogs as I can find if they refuse to repair my device.

Yeah, I tried to escalate the issue and received an e-mail from Bikram Chawla:  Resolution Specialist, that read, "I do apologise for the inconvenience caused to you. I would request you to email the Dell Mobility team."  This was in response to me saying that I could not get a straight answer from the Mobility Team.   Not sure how escalation is supposed to work but pretty sure it shouldn't involve sending you right back to the same people who are giving you a run-around.
