Dell st2e tablet won't open apps after 8.1 update

Updated to 8.1 on Nov 21 and now apps will not open.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps and issue remains.  At this point am considering this table to go to garbage and move to an android system.  I am not a computer savvy person and up until the update had used my tablet daily now it is an expensive paperweight.
