Dell venue 8 not charging but plugged in

Had tablet for 5 months. Returned to Dell three times for same issue of supplied Dell charger/adaptor falling out of port. They indicated replacing motherboard all three times but just don't seem to get that the plug falls out. Waiting for them to call me Monday, November 17 to discuss next action. Last time I called they said it was out of warranty. Not quite sure how a brand new tablet was out of warranty so quickly but did fight them on it. Has anyone actually had their table fixed or have never had a charging issue?
