Intel Atom Z3000 Series Driver update for Venue 8 Pro?

Dell Update recommends an update of the Intel Atom Z3000 Series Driver (83.5MB, 3/27/2019) for my Dell Venue 8 Pro 5830.  That driver has a Release ID of 67YC3 and is Version A00 (603.9600.2067.27988).

However, when I tried to apply this update, it froze my tablet (black screen but backlight is on).  The only way I was able to recover was to let the battery drain completely, then recharge the system.

I am reluctant to try this update again.  Can anyone shed any light on what is in this update?  Has anyone successfully applied it to their Dell Venue 8 Pro?  Is it possible that although Dell Update recommends the update, it is not appropriate for the Venue 8 Pro 5830?

Note that my Venue 8 Pro is running Windows 10 Home, Version 1909 and otherwise appears fully updated.
